Artwork for the above must be provided at your expense and to be
forwarded no later than the closing date of entries for relevant
categories.
Donations
The Eisteddfod Committee would appreciate any donation toward the prizes
in the various categories of the St George Eisteddfod. This could be in
the form of money or prizes.
Volunteers
To enable the smooth running of the Eisteddfod we urgently require
volunteers in many and varied capacities. If you would like to help in
any way, even for a couple of hours, this would be appreciated.
Please contact your Convenor at least 3 weeks prior to the
Eisteddfod to volunteer.
Tickets for Attendances at Venues
In 2012 attendance tickets will only be available at the door and cannot be pre-ordered (including multiple/season tickets).
Programs
In 2012 all programs will be made available on the website for free and cannot be pre-ordered.
The programs
will be put on the website approximately four weeks before the first event for each Section.
No programs will be mailed out in 2012.
About our Patron (Caroline O’Connor)
Caroline grew up in Rockdale and attended Bexley Primary School and St George Girls High School in Kogarah, and although she now spends a considerable amount of time
working and touring major cities in Europe and U.S.A., she still feels a deep affinity with the St George area.
Her busy schedule has taken her to London, New York, Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne, Paris, Toronto and Wales, where she has successfully appeared in productions of
Man of La Mancha, Piaf, Chicago, West Side Story, Showboat, A Chorus Line, , Mack and Mabel, Romance Romance, Street Scene, Matador, Cabaret, Is There Life After High
School, Me and My Girl ,End of the Rainbow, she has also appeared at Edinburgh Festival Scotland to name just a few of her roles.
Caroline was the winner of the Best Actress in a Play 2001 Green Room Awards, Helpman Awards and Mo Award for her performance in the one woman play, Bombshells.
Winner of Best Actress 2005 Sydney Theatre Award Caroline has also performed solo with Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, recorded numerous solo CDs,
and starred in the film productions of Moulin Rouge and De-Lovely.
In 2008 Caroline has appeared in the following:
Hatpin at York Theatre, Seymour Centre Sydney and at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, Audition Tuition with the Kookaburra Kids, Sydney, Scarlet O’Hara at the
Crimson Parrot in Melbourne, was Presenter at the Helpman Awards, Sydney, and On The Town, in Paris.
The show “The Girl from OZ” was a tremendous success at New York Birdland Jazz featuring Musical Theatre and where she also paid homage to Judy Garland, Edith Piaf, Ethel Merman and more.
Recently Caroline has appeared at the Royal Albert Hall with the famous Proms and then opened at the Garrick Theatre, with “The Showgirl Within” West End in a one woman show.
The St George Eisteddfod welcomes Caroline’s input and experience, and we are grateful for her support in fostering young Australian talent.
