Tickets for Attendance at Venues
In 2012 attendance tickets will only be available at the door and cannot be pre-ordered (including multiple/season tickets). Cash only payment.

Programs

• In 2012 all programs will be made available on the website for free and cannot be pre-ordered.
• The programs will be put on the website four weeks before the first event for a Section
• Please make sure you enter into correct sections as there will be no alterations made to entries under any circumstances after closing date.

Volunteers
We urgently need some volunteers who are willing to give some time (even a couple of hours) to help with the various positions that are required to help make this a successful Eisteddfod for your children to participate in.

Please contact the Dance Convenor approximately 3 weeks before the sections begin so that a roster can be made. Positions include Pencillers, Door, Backstage- Doing the numbers, music, giving out the prizes and even someone to collect the results after the section has finished. Also, we need volunteers to see that the Adjudicator and Pencillers have refreshments etc. and on Group Days to man the doors leading to the back stage area.

Photography and Videos
Professional Photographers and Video people are available throughout the Dance Sections. You are responsible to make contact with these people and make your own arrangements with them.

Easy Entry for Studio/Schools/Teachers
For D75 to D109 no names of participants are now required from the studio/school.
The required information using Form D will be:
vi.        Section Number e.g. D83
vii.       Name of Section e.g. Jazz Dance 12 years & under
viii.      Name of School/studio
ix.        Number of performers
These Form D entries may be made either online or by postal entry

Dance Section Rules

All general rules must be read in conjunction with the following rules. Alterations have been made.

1.	Age will be taken as at closing day of Dance Entries in Eisteddfod 9th March 2012. Proof of age, Birth Certificate to be produced on the day if required. Note: You must complete and forward the Disclaimer Form on the Entry Form or tick website box otherwise entry will not be accepted.
2.	Groups must have a minimum of 5 dancers. Special Sections Minimum of 4 Maximum 10
3.	Specially Restricted Sections. These sections are for those competitors who have never won a prize in any section anywhere.
4.	Restricted Sections Are for those who have never been placed 1st in that particular Style of dance, if placed in Ballet and its related Categories example: If placed in a Ballet Dance, Demi Character, Contemporary or Modern Expressive/Lyrical then you must enter Open Section/s for these dances but are still eligible to compete in Tap or Jazz related categories which are Jazz and Modern/Expressive/Lyrical and in Tap any form of Tap or Song and Dance then the same ruling applies as above. Babies Dance.  There are no restrictions on this section. If you have been placed in Babies Sections you are still eligible to compete in the restricted sections in this Eisteddfod.
5.	No item may be repeated in Solo Sections. A change of Costume/Music does not constitute a new routine. Championships competitors may repeat one of their dances from Solo Sections. For Scholarships Please read Conditions of Entry for these sections under their respective Headings.
6.	Tapes/CD must be cued ready and clearly marked (only one item to be on each CD) with Competitor’s name, number and AMCOS/APRA number. They are to be presented to the Stage Manager or person in charge of Music prior to the commencement of the section. An official Cassette and CD player will be available. ONLY one track on each CD. Do not use rewritable CD’s. They do not work in the machines. No microphones to be used in any item.
7.	Props are to be kept to a minimum and must be removed immediately an item is finished. Please, no messy props such as hay or loose paper. If using these items they must be completely covered and secured.
8.	No privately owned videos, cameras or mobiles of any description to be used in any hall where the competition is taking place, this is at the request of the St George Eisteddfod committee and copyright laws and the child protection act.
9.	No pointe shoes to be worn by competitors under the age of 12 years.
10.	Time Limits: These must be strictly adhered to; otherwise the item that goes overtime may be disqualified. Time starts on the 1st note of music etc. and must finish if the bell is rung by the timekeeper. The time limits include tags, if used.
11.	Parents and /or Teachers are not allowed backstage.
12.	Props are to be put on stage by the competitor or a backstage person only.
13.	Inappropriate costuming and suggestive movements in all forms of dance will not be tolerated and the adjudicator has the authority to ask that this item be stopped immediately.

Scholarships

Conditions of Entry
1. Open to all competitors in OPEN sections of this Eisteddfod
2. Must have competed in 2 Open Sections pertaining to the category of Scholarship entered
3. Dance requirements for the JUNIOR Classical/Jazz Scholarships may be a repeat from the Open section
4. For Senior Scholarships, Jazz must have a new routine.
    Classical are required to choose a variation from the Ballet Repertoire List (see below)
5. Previous winners of Scholarships are NOT allowed to enter the same age group and discipline of Scholarship
    for a period of three consecutive years e.g. if you win in Classical Ballet you may enter into Jazz Scholarship
    but not Classical Ballet, unless moving into a higher age group.

Prize Money
The Prize Money will be paid on receipt of your next Term Account, to be forwarded to St George Eisteddfod Inc. C/- 2 Baden Powell Place, Winston Hills NSW 2153, by the Teacher/Studio or Winner/s for the relevant amount used for classes in the particular Scholarship entered, namely Classical Ballet or Jazz.

If there is any surplus owing to you after this Term Account, then forward your next Account for reimbursement and money will be made available. Cheques will be made payable to Teacher/Studio.

• St. George Eisteddfod inc wishes to advise all Parents and Competitors that an on-line entry facility is now available for individual entries with payment by PayPal, Visa or MasterCard.
• We recommend you use the on line facility for individual entries.
• Please keep a copy of your PayPal receipt as no enquiries can be made to the convenors without your receipt information.

• Pages A/B are used together by parents and competitors for individual competitor entries including Championships (D110 to D113) and Scholarships (D114 to D117).

Page C for Teachers and Schools (Click for Postal Page C or Online Page C)

• Page C is to be used by schools, Studios and Teachers for multiple competitors in Individual entries but is not  for use for items with multiple competitors (see Page D).
• Note there are no Duo or Trio events in 2012 as they were poorly supported in previous years.
• Competitors using recorded music must supply AMCOS number and display on disk/ipod where applicable.
